Owners meetings and dark mode is here

Should get a little bit of news flowing this week. We're heading out to Phoenix for the NFL meetings. We'll get 30 minutes with Kellen Moore on Tuesday morning, giving us a chance to catch up on what has happened to this point and where things might be going. Obviously, some big topics still left co…

Site stuff

Not a bad first few days. Squashed a ton of bugs. Got a ton more to squish. Keep sending those tickets in.

Just a few quick things to answer a bunch of questions all at once.

- Yes, there will be a dark mode at some point. Just wanted to get the site up, get…

What kind of WR do they need?

Everybody feels strongly that the Saints need new blood at WR. I don’t exactly disagree, though I’d say they spent much of last year investing in low-risk flyers at that position, and any of them could show up all of a sudden.  But it’s a universal belief that this isn’t good enough (actual Saints staff notwithstanding).

So what type of WR are they lacking, in your opinion?

I believe that Olave would be best as a slot-heavy intermediate receiver, and that a true X would be the most useful addition (like almost all teams probably). But as the Saints don’t seem anxious to relegate Olave to that role, and they do have a “big slot” in Vele and a potential legit journeyman in Polk, I kind of think that a real slot receiver would add the most to the dynamic. A sub-6’, 210lb buy who can move under the coverage in mesh and multi-level routes, and maybe avoid a tackle sometimes. Beyond that, I think the next greatest need is a perimeter blocker, ala Trequan.  I think skill players who can block and an… I don’t know, an “Alvin Kamara-esque” receiving back would be more useful than anything other than a big, fast dude who can run all the routes and beat double-coverage… which is something everybody is looking for, all the time.

So, fantasy successes aside, which kind of player should the Saints be aiming for?

Saints are signing QB Zach Wilson

The Saints are signing Zach Wilson, adding a veteran presence to the quarterback room behind Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler, according to a source.

Wilson, 26, spent 2025 in Miami as Tua Tagovailoa's backup and barely saw the field — six completions on 11 attempts across four appearances. Before…

Saints re-sign Terrell Burgess

The Saints are bringing back Terrell Burgess on a one-year deal worth $1.17 million, per source.

Burgess, 27, isn't a name that moves markets. That's sort of the point. He spent 2025 as exactly what the Saints needed him to be — a depth piece who showed up, played his snaps, and didn't cost the tea…
