The Saints are keeping their options open at wide receiver and will be hosting Gabe Davis on a visit.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Davis would fit a need the team has at the position. Davis spent last with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he caught 20 passes for 239 yards, but had his season cut short when he suffered a knee injury in Week 11.
It sounds like he might need a little more time before he's ready to get on the field. But it is notable that he has $11.5 million guaranteed due to him from Jacksonville, and that amount is subject to offset language, meaning that Davis will almost certainly be signed for the league minimum.
Davis previously had some solid production with the Bills. In 2022, Davis caught 48 passes for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. And in 2023, he had 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
Davis previously visited the Steelers.
New Orleans has a need for a bigger receiver, and Davis could fit the bill as a rotational piece.
